There are a variety of ways to get involved with what FEMAP is doing! Here are a few ideas:
– Donate individual items that are needed for the Kits
– Collect items and put kits together in 2-Gallon Bags- Donate unused/ leftover fabric (not scraps), yarn, lace, thread, bias tape, hem tape, or other decorative sewing items.
– Sew a teddy bear, baby sacque, gown, or children’s shorts set or dress. We have fabric and patterns at Allen Jay House, so you can come by and pick up supplies to take home and sew items and return them.
– Knit or crochet afghans, toboggans, sweaters, or blankets. We have yarn at Allen Jay House, so you can come pick up yarn and return knitted items
-You and/or your group can call or email us to arrange a time to volunteer at Allen Jay House on a Wednesday from 10am-2pm.
Please bring donation items to Allen Jay House on Wednesdays from 10-2, or contact us for other arrangements.
